IKEA’s KUSTFYR ghost-shaped LED lamp, priced at £7 in the UK, is drawing attention ahead of Halloween 2027. It runs on two AA batteries, offers white and purple light settings and has an eight-hour timer; the report says some stores are already difficult places to find it, but does not provide stock figures.
IKEA’s £7 KUSTFYR ghost lamp is attracting attention ahead of the retailer’s Halloween 2027 collection, according to a report by Ideal Home. The battery-powered decoration has white and purple light settings and an eight-hour timer, while the report says it is already hard to find in some stores; it does not give sales figures or a measure of how widely the lamp has gone viral.
The lamp is shaped like a small ghost, with arms that stick out of its packaging. Ideal Home describes the boxed appearance as part of its appeal, though that is the publication’s characterization rather than a measured response from shoppers. The decoration is designed to be used on surfaces such as a bedside table or shelf.
The KUSTFYR is cordless and powered by two AA batteries. A tap on its head switches it on, and users can select white light, purple light, or an alternating setting, according to the report. IKEA’s product description was not independently included in the source material, so details here are based on Ideal Home’s account.
An eight-hour timer is also listed among the lamp’s features. Ideal Home presents it as a small seasonal accent for a child’s room or a cosy corner, rather than a primary reading light. The report identifies it as part of IKEA’s KUSTFYR Halloween range, which includes other spooky decorations.
A Low-Cost Halloween Accent
At £7, the lamp is a relatively inexpensive option for shoppers who want a seasonal decoration without buying a larger set of Halloween items. Its battery power and lack of a cable may make it easier to place in different parts of a home, although the source does not provide information about battery life or brightness.
Interest in the product may also matter to shoppers trying to plan purchases ahead of Halloween: Ideal Home says it is already proving tricky to find in some IKEA stores. That observation signals possible local availability issues, not a confirmed nationwide shortage. The report supplies no stock totals, sales data or evidence to quantify the lamp’s popularity.

IKEA’s KUSTFYR Halloween Range
The lamp is part of IKEA’s KUSTFYR Halloween collection, which Ideal Home identifies as a 2027 range. The publication places it after an earlier IKEA seasonal item, a glass ghost bowl, which it says went viral. The source gives no dates, online engagement figures or sales information for either product, so that description should be understood as the outlet’s account of consumer attention.
Ideal Home also mentions other ghost-shaped lights from different retailers as alternatives for shoppers who cannot find the IKEA lamp or prefer another style. Those suggestions are not part of IKEA’s collection. The source does not provide a fuller comparison of their prices or specifications.

The report does not establish how many lamps have sold, how many people have shared or viewed the product online, or whether interest is broad enough to describe as a viral trend across platforms. It also does not name the IKEA stores where the lamp is difficult to find or say how many units remain. Availability may differ by location, and no national stock figures are provided.
The source identifies the collection as part of IKEA’s Halloween 2027 offering, but does not state a precise launch date or provide a separate direct statement from IKEA confirming the product details. Battery runtime, light output and whether batteries are included are also not specified in the report.

Check Local IKEA Availability
Shoppers interested in the lamp can check availability at their nearest IKEA before travelling, as Ideal Home advises. The report does not provide a restock schedule or say whether the lamp will be available online in every region, so local product listings are the best source for current stock information.
Further details to watch for include any IKEA update on the KUSTFYR collection’s release timing, store inventory and product specifications. Until those are published, claims about a widespread shortage or exceptional sales should be treated as unconfirmed.
