John Lewis has launched the Loft Chaise Sofa Bed, a £1,199 chaise-style sofa bed with hidden under-seat storage. Ideal Home reports that My John Lewis members can get a 20% discount through Nov. 1, 2026; product dimensions, delivery terms and the exact sleeping capacity are not specified in the supplied report.
John Lewis has launched the Loft Chaise Sofa Bed, a chaise-style model that pairs a pull-out sleeping area with hidden under-seat storage. The sofa bed is listed at £1,199, according to Ideal Home, which reports that My John Lewis members are eligible for a 20% discount through Nov. 1, 2026.
The launch stands out for the combination of seating, guest accommodation and storage in one piece of furniture. Ideal Home describes the sofa bed as having a clean-lined, minimalist design and an under-seat storage area intended for items such as guest bedding. That could help households keep bedding out of sight when the sofa bed is in a living room rather than a separate guest room.
The report gives the listed price as £1,199 and says the advertised discount is available to new and existing My John Lewis members until Nov. 1, 2026. The source does not state the discounted price or set out the offer’s full terms, so shoppers should check John Lewis’s current product listing before buying.
Ideal Home’s report presents the product as a design-led option for hosting overnight guests, but the supplied material does not provide details such as the bed’s dimensions, mattress construction, upholstery choices, assembly requirements or warranty. It also does not give independent test results for comfort or durability. Those details should be verified with the retailer before a purchase.
Storage for Living-Room Guests
The practical issue the design addresses is where to put bedding when a living room doubles as a guest space. A sofa bed without dedicated storage can leave duvets and pillows visible or require a separate cupboard; under-seat storage may give owners a place to keep those items close to the sleeping area.
That feature may matter most in smaller homes or rooms used for several purposes, where adding a separate storage unit is difficult. But the report does not give the storage compartment’s capacity, so it is not clear how much bedding it can hold. At £1,199 before any member discount, the model is also a sizeable purchase, making measurements, comfort and the discount terms relevant to buyers’ decisions.

What Ideal Home Reports
Ideal Home’s article is a product-launch report and shopping assessment, not a published independent test of this specific sofa bed. Its author, identified as the publication’s sleep editor, says that experience testing sofa beds has made storage a feature they value, particularly when the bed is in a living room. That is the writer’s assessment, rather than a product-performance finding.
The article also names other sofa beds and chair beds at different price points, including options that sleep one person and alternatives without hidden storage. It gives no comparative test data or full price list for those products. Its central distinction for the John Lewis model is the pairing of a chaise format and concealed storage.

Product Specifications Still Missing
The supplied report does not confirm the sofa bed’s overall dimensions, mattress type, sleeping capacity, fabric options or storage volume. It also does not include independent comfort or durability testing, nor does it clarify delivery costs, assembly, returns or the detailed conditions of the member discount. The report’s reference to delivery before Christmas is time-sensitive and should not be treated as a current guarantee without checking the retailer’s listing.
Check Price and Delivery Details
Shoppers considering the sofa bed can check the current John Lewis listing for availability, dimensions, fabric choices, delivery dates and the full My John Lewis offer terms. Before ordering, they should confirm that the chaise orientation and sleeping area fit the room and that the storage space suits the bedding they intend to keep inside. The supplied source gives no further product announcement or update schedule.
