Meross smart home gadgets are discounted by up to 38% in Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, according to CNET. Listed offers include a $72 Wi-Fi water timer and a $59 garage door opener kit; prices and availability may change during the sale.
Meross smart home devices are discounted by up to 38% during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, according to a CNET deals report. The listed offers include a Wi-Fi water timer for $72 and a smart garage door opener kit for $59, giving shoppers lower-priced options for managing outdoor watering and controlling garage doors with other home and yard deals.
CNET identifies the Meross Wi-Fi water timer as the sale’s largest stated discount. It lists the device at $72, down $44 from a $116 list price. The timer connects to a garden hose or sprinkler system, supports two watering zones and can use real-time weather data to skip scheduled watering when rain is expected, according to the report.
Several Meross garage door opener kits are also included. CNET lists one remote at $59, or 15% below its $70 list price, and says the model has an external antenna intended to improve Wi-Fi reception and reach. The report notes that one Meross kit appeared on CNET’s list of the best smart garage door openers of 2026.
The sale also includes other Meross products, alongside discounted Matter smart home gear. CNET cites a smart thermostat priced at $68 and an outdoor smart plug discounted by 15%, as well as offers on smart plugs and strip lights. The source does not provide the thermostat’s original price or specify the exact model, so a percentage saving for that item cannot be established from the reported details; shoppers can also compare these offers with smart home deals and picks.
Lower Prices for Everyday Smart Home Tasks
The discounts apply to devices that automate routine household tasks rather than to a single product category. A water timer can help schedule irrigation across separate zones, while a connected garage opener can add remote controls to a garage door. The thermostat offer may appeal to shoppers looking to manage heating during colder weather, though the source does not quantify potential energy savings.
For readers comparing offers, the stated prices and product features provide a starting point, not a guarantee of value for every home. Compatibility, installation needs and the shopper’s existing smart home setup can affect whether a device is suitable. The advertised maximum discount also applies to selected items; it does not mean every Meross product is 38% off.

What CNET Reports About the Sale
The source is a CNET deals report about Meross offers during Amazon’s October Prime Day sale. It describes a range of products, from plugs and light strips to water timers, thermostats and garage door opener kits. The source material does not give a publication date, a complete product list or a sale schedule beyond identifying the event as October Prime Day.
CNET Senior Editor Tyler Lacoma described the garage door opener kit as suited to longer driveways or homes with multiple garage doors. CNET also highlights the kit’s CarPlay support, saying drivers can control it from a car dashboard as they approach home. Separately, the report mentions the Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium at $210 as an alternative for shoppers seeking a higher-priced thermostat; that comparison is CNET’s recommendation, not an assessment of all available models.
“Perfect for longer driveways or homes that have multiple garage doors.”

Prices, Stock and Compatibility May Change
The reported prices reflect the sale details in CNET’s source material; the article does not independently confirm live Amazon listings. Availability, prices and discount amounts can change, and the source does not state when the offers end. It also does not provide full model numbers for every listed product, the thermostat’s regular price, or detailed compatibility requirements for particular homes and smart home systems.
The claim of savings is based on the list prices given in the report. It does not establish how those prices compare with other retailers or with each product’s recent selling price. Shoppers should check the current listing, included accessories and compatibility information before purchasing.

Check Listings Before the Sale Ends
The next step for shoppers is to review the live Amazon product pages for current prices, stock, model details and terms. CNET directs readers to Meross’s sale section for the available offers, but its report does not state a closing date. The discounts may no longer apply once the promotion ends or if a listing changes.
Readers considering a thermostat, irrigation timer or garage opener should confirm that the selected model works with their existing equipment and setup. Further details about the sale’s end time, changing inventory and any additional Meross offers were not provided in the source material.
