Best Buy is offering Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Plus for $39.99, a $30 reduction from its listed $69.99 price. The deal also includes one month of Xbox Game Pass, which The Ambient values at $22.99; availability and the offer’s terms should be checked with Best Buy.
Best Buy has cut the price of Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Plus to $39.99 from $69.99, according to a deal report by The Ambient. The offer also includes a month of Xbox Game Pass, making the streaming device a lower-cost way to add apps and 4K streaming to a television with an HDMI port.
The reported price is $30 below the stick’s $69.99 original price, a discount of about 43%. The Ambient says the included month of Xbox Game Pass is valued at $22.99. That valuation is based on the report; the source does not detail which Game Pass plan applies or whether separate redemption conditions are attached.
Amazon released the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus in 2025, according to The Ambient. The device supports 4K streaming, Wi-Fi 6, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos. Those formats require compatible television, audio equipment, content and network service; buying the stick alone does not add those capabilities to hardware that does not support them.
The stick connects through an HDMI port and uses Amazon’s Fire TV interface. Its Alexa Voice Remote can control television power and volume on compatible sets. The Ambient also describes Alexa search across supported streaming services and access to free, ad-supported apps including Tubi, Pluto TV and Fire TV Channels. The report says Xbox cloud gaming is available with Game Pass Ultimate and a compatible controller, but the included month’s exact plan is not identified.
A Lower-Cost Route to Streaming
For viewers with an older television that has an available HDMI input but lacks a modern streaming interface, a stick can add access to streaming apps without replacing the screen. At $39.99, this offer sits below the device’s stated $69.99 original price, though it is still an additional purchase and does not include subscriptions to services such as Netflix or Disney+.
The bundled gaming offer could add value for people already interested in Xbox Game Pass, but it should not be treated as cash back or as a permanent reduction in the device price. The Ambient assigns the month a $22.99 value; readers should confirm the plan, eligibility and redemption rules before buying. A service trial is most useful to customers who can use it and understand when any paid subscription might begin.
The technical specifications also matter only when the rest of the setup supports them. To benefit from 4K, Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos, users need compatible displays, content and audio equipment, as well as sufficient internet service. The device can make a compatible television smarter, but it cannot upgrade a television’s resolution or add features its hardware lacks.

What the Stick Adds to a TV
A streaming stick is a compact device that plugs into a television’s HDMI port and connects to the internet, typically over Wi-Fi. It supplies a software interface for supported apps and services. The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is Amazon’s current 4K streaming-stick model described in the source report, which says it was released in 2025.
The Ambient reports a quad-core 1.7GHz processor and Wi-Fi 6 support, alongside Dolby Vision and HDR10+ video formats. Wi-Fi 6 may help on compatible networks, but actual streaming quality depends on the router, internet connection, network congestion and service. Likewise, the availability of an app or title can vary by subscription, location and licensing.
Amazon’s Fire TV devices combine streaming apps with Alexa voice controls. The source says the remote can operate power and volume on compatible televisions and that Alexa can search for content using descriptions such as an actor or plot. These are product capabilities described in the deal report, not a guarantee that every service, command or smart-home feature works in every region or setup.

Deal Terms Still Need Checking
The source report does not give a sale end date, confirm how long Best Buy will keep the item at $39.99, or establish whether stock is available in every location. Prices and inventory can change, so the listing should be checked before purchase.
It is also unclear which Xbox Game Pass plan the bundle provides, how the month is redeemed, whether it is limited to new or eligible accounts, and whether a payment method or automatic renewal applies. The report’s $22.99 figure is a stated valuation, not confirmation that every buyer can obtain that amount of service or use the offer on identical terms.
The source does not specify whether the deal is restricted by region or provide full warranty, return or shipping details. Buyers should review the retailer’s listing and the offer conditions for those terms. The stick requires a compatible HDMI connection and internet access; compatibility with an individual television and home network cannot be determined from the deal description alone.
Check the Listing Before Buying
Readers interested in the offer can check Best Buy’s product page for the current price, stock and bundle conditions. They should verify the Game Pass plan and redemption deadline, and review whether the subscription renews automatically after the included month.
Before ordering, check that the television has an available HDMI port and that the home Wi-Fi can support the intended streaming quality. Owners seeking Dolby Vision, HDR10+ or Dolby Atmos should confirm that their television and audio setup support those formats. The next confirmed development would be any change in Best Buy’s price, availability or offer terms; the source report does not give a scheduled end date.
